Again, in high school. A few of us are sitting in my old Year 7 classroom doing homework - I'm reading Pride and Prejudice. My schoolmate Frank goes home with my schoolbag by accident. This is bad as I've got my expensive flute and other assorted things in there.

I then get ready for some weird graduation ceremony. For some reason, only a third of the students turn up. There is Filipino stick dancing (I don't know the proper word for it alas).

On a tram to some alternate version of North Melbourne. We get off at a specific stop - heading to some sort of festival gig at the last minute. My old schoolmate Sue-Ann is there, the one who had an affair with my Physics teacher (in real life).

Me and Louise are getting ready to dress up in an alley. She arrives in a car. Sue-Ann begins to snog Daniel Craig who has oddly just arrived in the alleyway. Louise and I get dressed.

I'm at dinner at a horrible place with an abusive ex-boyfriend. The place won't let us order alcohol for some strange reason and I am adamant that I need alcohol. They have some gorgeous lipglosses there for sale and I decide I'd like a pack. Apparently Oprah (?!) has the same ones. I see another girl be stereotypically bitchy to another on our table just because she doesn't like her sandals. I am shocked and try to stand up for her.

dream, Tue 8/9/09

I'm back at high school and under the impression that the people I considered my friends are not my real friends. As soon as graduation is announced, I decide to skip attending the ceremony (coincidentally, I did this when I graduated at university - I was pretty unwell at the time and just opted to receive my degree by post. It is still in my room, in its cardboard tube).

Then my family decided they wanted to go out for dinner. I tried to get them to book a table but they wouldn't listen to my logic. When we got to the venue, there was this woman who was really half-octopus, half-woman and kept trying to seduce men in a particular family. Behind her ear there was a growth that gave her away as being an octopus, though upon recalling it, it sounds more alien than it does octopusish.

I pulled a tentacle - it had infinite eyes and reminded me of sea anemone.
