I was going to work and travelling on a road that looked Royal Pde in Parkville. I travelled partially by tram, and walked some of the way. I got to work and my workmate Sue told me she'd just been put on antidepressants and was struggling with the nausea they can sometimes cause. I had got there too early and said I wished I'd brought my musical instruments so I can go across the road and practise (Royal Pde in Parkville opposite Melbourne Uni has some music houses).
So I left briefly, while I waited for my shift to start. I walked up College Cres and saw @tephdee squatting in a carpark. I can't remember what we talked about entirely, except that I told her I wished I could nominate what hours I could work in, say, pick 30 hours, and then do my 30 hours of work at home, whenever I pleased. She left me to meet a friend at a clock supposedly at Melbourne Uni (there's no clock of repute that I can think of on campus).
I tried to find my way back to work and couldn't and instead ran through people's houses. Now I was in England and being led through one house to another by helpful Caribbean folk. The men were dressed in 70s suits, not disco-ish, but a very old-fashioned neat. I bumped into my old workmate Nikolaki and said I was happy to see him, as he seemed to have left quite abruptly and none of us got to say goodbye to him initially.
